Hair For Her

A good, timely haircut is something we prefer not to save on. It’s better to save on a dress or a new shirt – nobody would notice if you are rocking a trendy cut. Although hair styling is important, it’s often secondary, because even the messiest hairstyles need a proper base – a quality cut that has its shape and texture. In this case your hairstyle will be read appealing and harmonious even if it’s the shaggiest “unkempt” ‘do. Somehow when we see bed head hair we always guess right whether it’s a true hairstyle or lack of styling, right? Check here what is new there in the haircut world, select the ideas for your new cut and anticipate your style reboot!

Hair For Him

There’s no better time than the new year to embrace a new look. Continuing from last year’s exploration of bolder cuts and styles, this year is offering up some of the best men’s looks we’ve seen in a while. From short fades and undercuts to mid-length comb-overs and quiffs and even long man buns and braids, this year has a stylish option to suit every hair length and type. Here are the most popular men’s haircuts that every man should try.

Waxing, Threading, Sugaring

Waxing is the process of hair removal from the root by using a covering of a sticky substance, such as wax, to adhere to body hair, and then removing this covering and pulling out the hair from the follicle. New hair will not grow back in the previously waxed area for four to six weeks, although some people will start to see regrowth in only a week due to some of their hair being on a different human hair growth cycle.

Threading is a method of hair removal originating in India and Central Asia. In more recent times it has gained popularity in Western countries, especially with a cosmetic application.

Sugaring, sugar waxing, or Persian waxing is a method of hair removal that has been in use since 1900 BC. … Sugaring is often compared to standard waxing. During the process, a sugaring substrate sticks to and essentially removes hair without attaching to the skin, making it far less painful than waxing.

Nails (Gel, Shellac, Foil, Dips)

Artificial nails, also known as fashion nails, acrylic nails, gel nails, nail wraps, nail tips, nail extensions or nail enhancements, are extensions placed over fingernails as fashion accessories. Some artificial nail designs attempt to mimic the appearance of real fingernails as closely as possible, while others may deliberately stray in favor of an artistic look.

Unlike most manicures, artificial nails require regular upkeep; it is recommended that they are attended to, on average, every two weeks, however they may last up to about one month. Nonetheless, their versatility in terms of shape and design and comparatively high durability are some advantages they hold over other types of manicures.

Gel nails can be used to create artificial nail extensions, but can also be used like nail polish. They are hardened using ultraviolet light. They last longer than regular nail polish and do not chip. They have a high-gloss finish and last for two to three weeks.

Gel nails are strong, although not as strong as acrylic or fiberglass nails, and tend to be more expensive.

Shellac nails are a form of nail polish—there are more than 100 shades you can choose from at verified salons—developed and patented by nail guru Jan Arnold of Creative Nail Design (CND). The secret sauce of shellac nails is that they combine two types of polish—gel (so your mani lasts long) and traditional polish (which gives your nails shine and a nice pop of colour). The formulas bind together when the teeny molecules (called monomers) and larger molecules (called polymers) it’s comprised of are exposed to LED light, creating a shellac effect—hence the term: shellac nails.

Facials / Skin Treatment

A facial is a family of skin care treatments for the face, including steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, facial masks, peels, and massage. They are normally performed in beauty salons, but are also a common spa treatment. They are used for general skin health as well as for specific skin conditions. Types of facials include European facial, LED light therapy facials, hydrafacials and mini-facials.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a light cosmetic procedure that uses a mechanical medium for exfoliation to remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells from the epidermis. Most commonly, microdermabrasion uses two parts: an exfoliating material like crystals or diamond flakes and a machine based suction to gently lift up the skin during exfoliation. It is a non-invasive procedure and may be performed in-office by a trained skin care professional.

Makeup / Makeover

Cosmetics are a category of health and beauty products that are used to care for the face and body, or used to accentuate or change a person’s appearance. Though cosmetics are commonly thought of as only makeup used to alter a person’s appearance, cosmetics can also refer to a number of products used to care for the skin and the body, as well as those used to add fragrance to it. There are a large number of cosmetics available under these various categories, each designed for different purposes and featuring different characteristics.

Unisex Massage

Massage is the manipulation of the body’s soft tissues. Massage techniques are commonly applied with hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearms, feet, or a device. The purpose of massage is generally for the treatment of body stress or pain. A person professionally trained to give massages is traditionally known as a masseur (male) or a masseuse (female).

Ear & Nose Piercing

The practice of using a needle or needle gun to make holes through the ear lobe or other parts of the ear so that jewelry can be worn.

An earring is a piece of jewelry attached to the ear via a piercing in the earlobe or another external part of the ear. Earrings are worn by both sexes and have been used by different civilizations in different times

Eyebrow Shaping & Tinting

Brow tinting is a service that doesn’t involve hair removal but uses a semi-permanent dye to enhance the color, shape, and thickness of your brows. Tinting is the perfect way to add a color boost to your brows (and even your lashes) and is ideal for those with light hair. A brow tint can widen your arches and elongate your eyebrows, which will give your brows a more defined, beautiful look. If you have naturally fine brows or you over-plucked back in the day like many of us did (ooops!) a brow tint can help by boosting the volume of your eyebrows. Even if your eyebrows are already dark, a tint can grab those peach-fuzz hairs and fill in the shape of your brows. You may discover you have hairs you didn’t know were there!

Microblading

Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hairstroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a machine and single needle bundle. Microblading is typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance or reshape their appearance in terms of both shape and colour. It deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper.

Laser Hair Removal, Photofacials, Microneedling

Laser hair removal is the process of hair removal by means of exposure to pulses of laser light that destroy the hair follicle. It had been performed experimentally for about twenty years before becoming commercially available in 1995 and 1996. Laser hair removal is widely practiced in spas, and even in homes using devices designed and priced for consumer self-treatment.

Photofacial,” is a 30-minute procedure in which intense pulses of light are used to penetrate deep into the skin. IPL™ photorejuvenation then causes collagen and blood vessels below the epidermis to constrict, reducing redness and age lines. The procedure involves only minimal discomfort, while the redness and swelling that sometimes occur after treatment disappear shortly. Most benefits of a photofacial occur gradually in the weeks following treatment.

Microneedling is a dermaroller procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. The purpose of treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores.

Unisex Pedicure & Manicure

A manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands. A manicure consists of filing and shaping the free edge of nails, pushing and clipping (with a cuticle pusher and cuticle nippers) any nonliving tissue (but limited to the cuticle and hangnails), treatments with various liquids, massage of the hand, and the application of fingernail polish. Most nail polish can stay on nails for 2-3 weeks before another manicure, if there is no deliberate damage to it.

A pedicure is a cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails, analogous to a manicure. Pedicures are done for cosmetic, therapeutic purposes. They are popular throughout the world, and especially among women.

Pedicures include care not only for the toenails; dead skin cells are rubbed off the bottom of the feet using a rough stone (often a pumice stone). Skin care is often provided up to the knee, including granular exfoliation, moisturizing, and massage.

Eyelash Perm

An eyelash perm is a treatment where the eyelashes are curled around a cylindrical rod. Additional solutions and activators are also used to create those gorgeous curls. The process takes about an hour from start to finish. It is best for longer lashes and lasts for about 4 to 12 weeks.
